As a substitute we show a miniature copy by Johann Friedrich Morgenstern (Morgenstern Cabinet I, right wing, Historisches Museum Frankfurt). Although it is not documented that the painting was restored in the Morgenstern workshop, the copy corresponds with the description in Städel’s inventory.
