Removed from the collection with the remark “Schwache Copie” (“Weak copy”). Of the original with near-identical dimensions, which was in a private collection in Houston in 1984, at least six workshop versions have been verified. As a substitute, we show a mezzotint reproduction (Richard Earlom, mezzotint, Städel Museum, Department of Prints and Drawings, inv.-no. 27363 D).
